SPB has recruited a Chief Data Officer as part of its development strategy in embedded insurance

05.10.2021

SPB has recruited a Chief Data Officer, Romain Dachy, as part of its development strategy in embedded insurance. A strategic part of the Altitude 2023 plan presented by SPB in March, embedded insurance is expected to represent 25% of property and casualty insurance sold worldwide in 2030.

"I am delighted that Romain Dachy has joined SPB as Chief Data Officer. Data mining will enable the insurance sector to change its very nature to better respond to uses in order to be acquired in a particular path, in a purchasing situation, or in a moment of life. The solutions developed by SPB are designed to be integrated into any digital ecosystem and enable, in particular, insurance to be embedded in products distributed on an e-commerce site, as well as any goods rented/sold on a platform or in smart objects. "

In this context, data becomes a fundamental asset for improving performance, carrying out targeted marketing, anticipating termination behaviour and automating tasks. The data collected in real time is used to monitor the technical results of insurance products, and to control the risk and the durability of contracts while optimising profitability.
